SPE is the largest individual member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry.
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit professional association whose members are engaged in energy resources, development, and production. SPE is a key resource for technical knowledge related to the oil and gas exploration and production industry and provides services through its publications, events, training courses, and online resources.

The SPE Bergen Section arranges six (6) member meetings every year featuring local and international presenters through the SPE Distinguished Lecturers program. During the year, the section hosts a variety of events for the E&P community including SPE Bergen Sailing, SPE Bergen Lutefisk, SPE Bergen Young Professional Conference, SPE Bergen Tech-Nights (member meeting), and dedicated additional events for student members. SPE Bergen Section has been able to continuously grow and develop to deliver the main place for professionals in the Bergen E&P community to meet and learn across disciplines and companies.
